This staircase was in a very poor state, after three days it was completely transformed into a modern oak and glass design with solid oak treads. The original newel posts were loose and the steps creaked, after a complete refurbishment its like new again and looks amazing.
After years of sanding, painting and trying to maintain an old dated staircase the customer wanted a maintenance free solution that was high quality and that would be in keeping in their modern home. We achieved this with a modern spindle design, oak replacement newel posts and oak veneering to the stair strings.
The customer wanted to gain more light into their stairway. Once the old dark wood was replaced with a more contemporary glass and oak design it instantly felt lighter and more spacious. The customer also opted for a curtail step to make more of a feature to their hallway. All exposed parts of the staircase had oak veneers applied.
The customer wanted professionally installed glass and oak handrails to there existing staircase that was unsafe. With no existing handrail in place we installed them to suit there current staircases layout. Combined with a modern glass design and bullnose step the staircase now looks amazing with the added peace of mind that it meets staircase safety regulations.
The customer was tired of their dated panel staircase and wanted a more modern oak and glass design. The choice of solid oak newel posts and clear toughened glass achieved the look they were looking for, oak veneers were also applied to the strings.
Traditional oak staircase The customer had grown tired of their old painted staircase. They wanted a more traditional style oak staircase with twist style spindles and matching oak newel posts. With the addition of oak veneered strings and some stair lighting the end result was amazing.
This job was completed as part of an extensive home renovation project. Once the customer learnt that it was far more cost affective to renovate their staircase than replace it. We replaced the newel posts with solid oak replacements. We also applied oak veneers to the stair strings and introduced a new oak bullnose step.
