The customer of this staircse renovation project in Cheadle, Cheshire opted to have their treads overlayed with solid oak. In addition to this the full renovation consisted of replacement oak newel posts, handrails, base-rails and full veneering to all strings. The existing treads and risers were to be overlayed with oak.
As well as the replacement timber parts, toughened glass was installed to replace the existing spindles, creating a much lighter and brighter space.
The completed staircase renovation looks amazing. The customer was truly delighted with the outcome.
The oak treads installed were finished in a clear and durable textured coating. If required we offer the option to stain the treads to match the main stained components.
